The Largest All Female Makeathon. Two days. 44 Countries. 15 Speakers. 7 Workshops.
For two days in the month of August, Girl Tech Boss partnered with Font Femme and Bit by Bit NYC to bring together the largest all female makeathon ever. The virtual event encompassed workshops, keynotes, panels and even a design challenge. The challenge, in which participants competed on a team of four to ultimately design a creative and technically challenging prototype to tackle the one of the many problems of the COVID-19 pandemic has caused.
From creating autonomous health service robots to designing domestic abuse preventing mobile apps, we received a plethora of brilliant submissions.
